I am an astrology lover. Mainly because I find it gives you an advantage in life. Whether understanding current events, predicting future events, understanding your own strengths and weakness, knowing the basic drives of someone you just met, delving deep into the mind of a best friend, seeing the events of a country, or seeing the true motivations of a relationship.
Astrology has become a bit of a joke, thanks to public media and the use of “Daily Horoscope for your Star Sign” in newspapers, magazines, radio and *shudder* online. Yes, this is extremely generalised. It’s near impossible to categorise the entire population into their 12 “star signs” without a vague, “this could happen to anyone” reading. They may be written by a recognised astrologer - but we need to understand just how difficult their task is. To mix everyone into such broad groups and give accurate readings must be incredibly challenging (and frustrating I’d imagine).
You are made up of so much more than just one sign. That is just your sun sign, which is part of the sky on the zodiac belt, the sun was in, at the time you were born. Your sun sign represents your outer appearance, how people first see us, a facade, and our motivations for life.
Upon first meeting someone, just knowing their sun sign may be somewhat useful in understanding them. For example knowing that someone who has their Sun in Capricorn, is a very hard worker who wants to be their own boss. They see their career achievements as an indicator of their success in life. This may be of some benefit to you for whatever reason.
I see astrology as a sacred art, used by those who want to go that extra mile in life, or to have that extra knowledge. Which I suppose is a good thing, if everyone used astrology, if everyone understood the secrets of the universe (yes I did just write ‘secrets of the universe’), it could get a little chaotic. The best of the best use astrology, whilst others laugh at it, which they probably know near-nothing about (unless of course it’s an astronomer having the debate - but let’s not go there just yet)
I understand nothing of politics. However to add some credibility to my case, know that the below politicians have used astrology. And of course they would. Politicians seek power, so it’s in their best interest to understand what is going on more than the average Joe. It’s definitely to their advantage to know the best times to do important things, to even know the weaknesses of their opposition (Why do high-profilers not want their birth certificate to be seen?) to understand future events of their country, and of others. Astrology is the ultimate life advantage.
Known people of influence that have used astrology:
